This new version will come with cross-platform play and "full feature parity." It will also feature all the latest seasonal content as it drops on other platforms.
The Switch release date confirmation comes just in time for the debut of Apex’s Season 8, Mayhem, which introduces the game's 16th Legend. There's also the infinitely useful Gold Magazine and some much needed changes for the Kings Canyon map, with plenty of new places to explore and camp in.
Since Switch players won't be able to take part in Season 8 for some time, EA is giving those who play on the Nintendo platform 30 free levels included in their battle pass. For the first two weeks after launch, Switch players will also get double XP.
Apex Legends will be free on Switch on March 9. Until then, it's available across all platforms, including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
