PlayStation announced its next State of Play, set to take place on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. PT for an expected 30 minute runtime. The broadcast will serve up new updates and deep-dives for 10 games coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, including new game announcements and updates on some third-party and indie titles featured in June’s PS5 showcase. The program will air on Twitch and YouTube.
The platform also unveiled the return of the Play At Home initiative starting March 1 and ending in June. Through this initiative, the PlayStation community will have access to a series of free games and entertainment offers. Ratchet & Clank will be available for free download for PS4 from March 1 – March 31. Once redeemed, players can keep the game forever. Beginning March 25, Funimation is offering extended access to new subscribers, with more specific details to come. Even more information about Play At Home is expected to be revealed over the coming weeks.
Over on Xbox Games Pass, the platform tweeted a hybrid dinosaur name generator, pairing the first letter of a player’s gamertag with their birth month to create some truly whacky names, like Nonplayercharactophus.
Microsoft’s cloud gaming service also announced Madden NFL 21 is coming to EA Play on March 2. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members have access to EA play at no additional cost.
Humble Bundle, a digital gaming storefront, announced its March Humble Choice featuring a wide range of games. The Humble Choice bundle is Humble Bundle’s take on a PC gaming subscription. Each month, subscribers choose from a curated list of games to keep forever, all while supporting a new charity for that month.
The list of games included in the March bundle are Control, XCOM: Chimera Squad, WWE 2K Battlegrounds, Elex and Kingdom Two Crowns, among others.
