Dead Cells upcoming DLC expansion Fatal Falls will launch on Jan. 26 across PC and consoles. Fatal Falls is the 22nd major update to the Dead Cells game, bringing a slew of new content to the 2018 title.

The new biomes, Fractured Shrines and Undying Shores, are parallels to Stilt Village, Clock Tower and Time Keeper areas and are meant for gamers to use as alternate paths to spice up mid-game runs.

The Scarecrow makes its debut as Fatal Falls’ new boss. Fans may recognize him as the Royal Gardener infected with Malaise in reference to the previous update. Additional new enemies include the myopic crow, clumsy swordsman, compulsive gravedigger and more.

Fighting these enemies naturally requires new equipment. Fatal Falls will introduce the flying maniacal sword, which brings brutality players a counterpart to the great owl and mushroom boi. Scythes are also now a weapon option, which are attracted to enemies and will follow the players for a short time. Other weapons coming in the Fatal Falls DLC are lightning rods, ferryman’s lantern, scarecrow's sickles, iron staff, snake fangs, serenade and cocoon.

To celebrate Fatal Falls’ release, Motion Twin and Evil Empire released a new trailer featuring extended gameplay. Pre-orders have also launched, and developers have also announced a new bundle for the game and cut prices on all platforms starting late January. The discount period will last 10+ days.

The Dead Cells: The Fatal Seed Bundle is now 33 percent off for Nintendo Switch users, and the discount will be applied to other platforms starting Jan. 26. The bundle includes all content from the previous 20 free game updates as well as the two paid DLCs, The Bad Seed and Fatal Falls. Starting Jan. 26, the base game will be 50 percent off and The Bad Seed will be 30 percent off.
