Dr. Davor Sutija, CEO
Dr. Sutija is a graduate of the Jerome Fisher Management and Technology program at the Wharton School, and has a PhD from UC Berkeley in Chemical Engineering. At Berkeley, Dr. Sutija developed novel microelectrode arrays in the UCB Microlab, and was a Hertz Fellow research associate at Lawrence Berkeley Labs. Dr. Sutija did postdoctoral work at the Center for Materials Technology, Univ. of Oslo, before becoming founding CEO at SiNOR AS (now REC-SiTech), a producer of electronic and pv-grade silicon ingots. Prior to joining Thinfilm in January, 2010, Dr. Sutija was SVP, Product Marketing, at FAST, a Microsoft subsidiary. He has also served on the boards of Norwegian technology firms SensoNor, Birdstep, and Owera.
Dr. Christer Karlsson, Technology Director/CTO
Dr. Karlsson has a Ph.D. from Linköping University in 1994 and served six years as Researcher, Project Manager and Deputy Research Director at the National Defence Research Establishment, Linköping, Sweden. He joined Thinfilm in the year 2000 and has served as project manager, group manager and Technology Director.
Torgrim Takle, CFO
Mr. Takle joined Thinfilm March 2011 as CFO. Previously, he was associate principal at McKinsey & Company which he joined in 2004, managing corporate finance related projects for clients across Europe and US. He holds a Master of Science degree from NTNU's Institute of Industrial Economy and Technological Management (Industriell Økonomi og Teknologiledelse).
Jennifer Ernst, Vice President, North America
Jennifer Ernst joined Thinfilm in 2011 to lead the company's commercial activities in North America. Prior to joining Thinfilm, Ms Ernst was Director of Business Development for PARC, a Xerox company, where she had more than 20 years experience in technology innovation. As a key player in helping establish PARC's open business model, she expanded PARC's impact into multiple new industries and secured licensing and co-development relationships with companies throughout the U.S., Asia, and Europe. She holds an MBA from Santa Clara University and BA from San Francisco State University.
Dr. Jiro Kasahara, Vice President, Japan
Jiro Kasahara joined Thinfilm in 2011 to lead the company's commercial activities in Japan. He established Sony Fusion Domain Laboratory in 2001, where he was responsible for the development of molecular and organic electronics including organic semiconductors for Flexible and Printable electronics. Dr. Kasahara gained his Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering at Waseda University, Tokyo.
